New Year, New beginnings
Well here we go again; we all find ourselves looking forward to the upcomingwell deserved holiday break but at the same time scratch our heads wondering where the year has gone. Walking into shopping centre’s, surrounded by Christmas decorations and carols sends many into a panic at the thought of all that needs to be done before the holidays.
Stop, take a deep breath and re-evaluate the situation, you may find that it really isn’t as bad as you think. The most important thing that you can do this holiday season is to make sure that you live for YOURSELF! Take each moment as it comes and don’t allow the little things to get the better of you. Follow the motto – “I am the maker of my own destiny” and you cannot go wrong.
Don’t stress yourself out over New Year’s resolutions; instead make a list of things which you would like to take into the New Year and those things you wish to leave behind. These are not physical things but rather problems, negative character traits and unhealthy lifestyle choices. In this way you can consciously make the decision everyday to live a better life.
This holiday season; give yourself a well deserved break from the things which have plagued you over the past year. It’s your time, time to rejuvenate and welcome in 2010 with a fresh perspective and positive attitude. 2010 promises to be one of the biggest years in South Africa’s history with the Fifa World Cup coming to our shores in June. Be sure to embrace this time as it is sure to bring big things to the country.
Don’t wait for the New Year to change your lifestyle, your attitude and your habits, start now, a little at a time and ease into the new way which you want to live your life.
Have a fabulous holiday season and all the best for the New Year
